FUTURE NRL superstar and proud Wagga export Cameron King is primed and ready to bear the green and gold in tomorrow's Junior Kangaroos clash with the Junior Kiwis in Wellington, New Zealand. From humble beginnings with the Wagga Kangaroos, the former Australian School Boys captain will start at hooker for the exhilarating Test - and he could not be happier."It's such a different feeling playing for your country," he said."I just can't wait, we've got a really good squad together."Known as a development experience for the best up-and-coming players, King is set to join the likes of Junior Kangaroos graduates Jarryd Hayne and Michael Jennings, both of whom went on to play for Australia in the senior Test series.Sharing his excitement with The Daily Advertiser yesterday, King was thrilled to be included in the squad along-side fellow rising stars of the league."The junior games are to acknowledge the real quality of players coming through in the under 20s," he said."You get that different feeling from playing against the best and going on tour, and we've had great coaching from David Hamilton (Canberra Raiders Toyota Cup coach).""It's the same experience that the senior Kangaroos go through, and it prepares us for the future."Powering through the final training session yesterday, Smith was optimistic about a possible Kangaroos whitewash."I think we've got a really good chance even though the Kiwis have been in camp longer than us," he said."It's always tough playing in New Zealand at any time, and it's still pretty cold over there at the moment but hopefully the boys will man up and get the job done."We've got a really good squad and everyone is happy to be here.""Most of us have played against each other at some stage but never together so it's really exciting."The Junior Kangaroos are poised to play a two game Test series in New Zealand, with the second game to be held the following Saturday in Rotorua.
