THE family of a white corella which has been missing for two weeks is desperately hoping it will return home.Dianne Dale let her pet corellas, Baby and Max, out of their cages two weeks ago to fly around the back garden of her Mount Austin home, when Baby was spooked by a hawk and flew away.Ms Dale said she quickly followed Baby into a nearby park, where she sought shelter among the trees, but could not convince her to come down and return home.Since then, Ms Dale has been praying someone will spot her beloved pet and bring her home. She has placed advertisements in The Daily Advertiser over the past week, urging people to call her if they sight Baby, but so far she has been unable to catch the bird."People have been ringing," Ms Dale said."She is in around the Tolland and Mount Austin area. She was spotted near the Botanic Garden."We have not stopped looking for her."Ms Dale described Baby as a very vocal and playful bird, who enjoyed talking to people. She said Baby was a trained pet who was being missed by her mate, Max."They are pets. They were hand-raised," Ms Dale said."They talk to the kids behind us. She is a very vocal, very small bird."Anyone who thinks they have found Baby is asked to call out to her and wait to see if she responds before phoning Ms Dale on 0417 679 516.
