A WAGGA cat who has the ability to 'ask' for milk, is in the running to be the face of Whiskas products in 2011. A lovable moggie called Suki is right on target to make the top 20 felines in the state thanks to a following of feline-loving friends. Owners Josh Bett and Megan Cooper, entered Suki into the competition all in the name of fun. But now the stakes have reached new heights with the pet drawing over 100 votes a day thanks to her ability to 'ask' for milk. Mr Bett said as a part of the competition Suki's entry required a creative image and explaination.Drawing on her nightly routine, he said everynight at 9pm Suki literally meows "milk" in order to get her favourite drink. Her 'speech' has helped spur on her popularity in the competition and acted as the inspiration for a creative photo promoting Whiskas products. Building on her popularity and to prove she's got what it takes as a cover cat, Suki even has her own Facebook group including a video of her asking for her milk. "It really sounds like she says it," Mr Bett said. There's nothing fishy about Wagga cats putting their best paw forward to have their chance at being the Whiskas cat. No fewer than 56 other Wagga felines are in with a chance. Voting to go in to the top 20 cats in the state closes on Friday, August 13.
