ONE man has been confirmed dead after a light plane crashed two kilometres north of the Temora airport.

Police and emergency services were called to the incident after 3pm today and found the body of the pilot, aged in his late 50s.
No one else was injured in the crash and no other passengers were on board.
There are reports that a second light plane was circling the airspace above the accident shortly after the incident occurred.
The plane crashed on a property off Research Road and only charred remains of the plane were left.
A SouthCare helicopter, SES, fire brigade and paramedics attended the scene and police have secured the area.
A report has been sent to the coroner for investigation.
