A LEETON teacher yesterday pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and will be sentenced in November. Gustave (Gus) Kearl, 27, was a teacher at St Francis College when he was arrested in June after the discovery of child pornography on a personal computer hard drive at the school.

He was immediately stood down by the Catholic Schools Office in Wagga and has not taught since.
The office yesterday was unable to say what Kearl's future would be after sentencing because his case was still before the court, but the likelihood is he will be sacked.
Kearl will be sentenced on November 11.
A pre-sentence report was ordered by magistrate Megan Greenwood in Leeton Local Court to help determine what sentence is handed down.
