There are 1,639 COVID-19 patients in hospital, with 72 in ICU.
Hospitalisation numbers are up on yesterday, when 1,623 patients were being cared for with 70 in ICU.
Of the new cases, 10,311 came from positive rapid antigen tests while 5,103 came from PCR testing.

The state's population aged 16 years and over is 94.7 per cent double vaccinated, while 96.1 per cent have had their first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
61.8 per cent have had their third dose of vaccine.
Those aged between 12 and 15 years are 79.5 per cent double vaccinated, while 83.3 per cent have had their first dose.
Of those aged 5 to 11 years old, 49.9 per cent have had their first vaccine dose.
NSW and Victoria are also poised to scrap the requirement for household contacts of people with COVID-19 to isolate.
Business leaders have been calling for the end of the seven-day isolation rule, saying it will ease staff shortages for businesses trying to recover from the pandemic.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet, Health Minister Brad Hazzard and Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant are expected to address the media this morning after the COVID and Economic Recovery Committee met on Tuesday evening to consider easing the rules.
