Go with your gut
Sorted, The Good Seed, 12 x 250ml cans, $42.
A drink in this column that's good for you? These Sorted cans are a thirst-quenching fizzy drink but with all the benefits of a prebiotic, a kefir water if you will. Packed with seven grams of fibre via acacia gum, the point is to support gut biomes and good digestion. Regardless of all that, the drinks are tasty and refreshing. The mint and watermelon one is particularly delightful on a hot afternoon. Other flavours include blood orange and blackcurrant. They are low-carb, low calorie, gluten free and vegan. The Good Seed range also includes kimchi, popsicles, and probiotic shots. Worth checking out as something different when a thirst needs to be sorted out.

Outstanding salute to beer-making women
Two Birds Warrior Woman 2022 Mango & Pineapple Hazy Pale 500ml can, 5.8 per cent alcohol, $13 a can
Scarcity is a cornerstone of the modern craft beer market. Limiteds, collaborations, seasonals and small batches clutter the shelves. Among the crowded marketplace for beers you may never have a chance to try again, Two Birds' International Women's Day release has a proven track record. The style of Warrior Woman changes each year but stonefruit and citrus never seem too far away once the froth starts forming. The super juicy hazy pale delivered this year. I sampled at Carrington's Young Street Hotel. Billed as serving "luscious bursts of pineapple, mango and citrus" it halts proceedings with a formidable bitterness well before the cloy of a fruit salad arrives. It rewards restraint and offers a worthy salute to the women helping push craft beer forward.

New owners liked 2022
Two Rivers 2021 Reserve Chardonnay, $30, 5 stars (out of six)
The 2022 vintage at the prized Two Rivers vineyard at Denman produced excellent results for new owners Ross Crump, Peterson's Wines chief Colin Peterson and an unnamed third partner. The trio bought the business last December after it had been put up for auction last August and passed in at $9.4 million. This lively chardonnay has lemony hues, nougat aromas and fresh, bright yellow nectarine front-palate flavour. The middle palate features honeydew melon, fig, marzipan and coconutty oak and slatey acid plays at the finish. It and other Two Rivers wines are available at tworivers.com.au and the 2 Yarrawa Road, Denman, cellar door. It will go well with steamed Tasmanian salmon fillet with Valencia orange burre blanc and cellar for nine years.

Stone's Throw on song
Two Rivers 2020 Stone's Throw Semillon, $22, 5 stars (out of six)
The sale of the 34-year-old Yarrawa Road, Denman, Two Rivers operation was triggered by the retirement of majority shareholder Sydney businessman Ross Pitts, who ran the Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant at Gladesville and once owned the Shoal Bay Country Club Hotel. Stone's Throw semillons, such as the 2018 that won 2018 Sydney Wine Show trophies for best young white wine of the show and best-value white, have long been stars and this one from the smoke-taint-plagued 2020 vintage upholds the standard. It is green-tinted straw, passionfruit-scented and with crisp ruby grapefruit front-palate flavour. The middle has lemon curd, apple peel and nascent honey and toast and a flinty acid finish. Drink with seafood wontons and cellar eight years.
