After winning the feature race with Rusty Crackers in 2020, McPherson lines up another stable favourite Ultimate Hughey in Saturday's feature.
The four-year-old hasn't missed the top two in his last three starts but despite drawing barrier two, McPherson knows the odds are stacked against them.
"It's a big ask for him but he's racing so well that I wouldn't be surprised if he did but he will need everything to go his way," McPherson said.

Ultimate Hughey is one who likes to do it tough in his races, but stepping up in grade McPherson admitted she's likely to change her usual tactics after coming up with barrier two.
"From the two I think I should already be up on the speed somewhere which should probably work in our favour," she said.
"In a cup field you are not really following anything that is not decent so he should follow the right horse so I will drive him a little bit colder if I can."
Regardless of the result, Ultimate Hughey is heading for a short break in preparation for group one racing at Riverina Paceway in autumn.
McPherson also lines up the resuming Camstar Road.
He got it all wrong chasing a hat-trick of wins last time out, but she expects he will relish the Temora circuit after drawing the inside of the second row.
