The Temora product is heading into the last season of his three-year deal with the club but feels his body is ready to show what he's really capable of.
"My body is feeling really good," Stimson said.
"It's probably the best it's felt in two years.
"Last season was pretty tough at the start with a few issues but now I'm ready to go and can't wait for the new year."
After undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery after two games for the club in 2020, the 26-year-old was limited to just 11 appearances last year.
He's hoping to push for a bigger role this season after most of his appearances came off the bench.
Stimson is also looking to help the Bulldogs rise back up the NRL ladder.
They've finished 15th and 16th since joining the club but with the arrival of Penrith premiership player Matt Burton and NSW State Of Origin star Josh Addo-Carr has already made a big difference.
"I think we were lacking a lot of experience, especially in the halves area," Stimson said.
"Although Matt hasn't played a lot of games he's played in a lot of big games and has an older head than what his actual age is.
"I think that is really going to help us while Joshy Addo-Carr and Tevita Pangai really speak for themselves. They are all class, have played in big games and know what to do and what to expect.
"The way they have come into training has really lifted the standards.
"They are starting a lot of conversations at meetings that we didn't have last year and it's something the young guys we have can learn off."

Fellow Temora product Trent Barrett came in as Bulldogs coach last season and has been working on changing the team's attacking play.
Stimson believes it's something Canterbury fans should really look forward to.
"I like the style we are going to play," he said.
"Just with how we are training and how our attack is looking now compared to the last couple of years is something everyone should be excited about."
