Toole had a big impact after being called into Australia's squad for the first two legs of the World Series.
He scored 10 tries across the two tournaments, which has him fourth in the world standings so far, six off Ireland's Terry Kennedy.
The Waratahs premiership player could not have asked for a better debut.
"It was a pretty cool experience," Toole said.
"I was lucky to cross the line for a few tries and I wasn't expecting as much game time as what I got.
"A few injuries to a few of the boys meant I got a few more minutes and my confidence started to grow as I played more games and I played a bit better footy."
Toole helped Australia to a silver medal in the second of the two Dubai legs.
They were just edged out 10-7 by South Africa in what was their best performance in years.
He scored Australia's only try in the grand final.
"It was pretty good, especially in the grand final. One of the boys said there were about 20,000 people watching in the stadium," Toole said.
"It is pretty cool and pretty surreal to cross the line in front of such a big crowd."

Toole also lit up social media with a couple of long range efforts to score throughout the two tournaments.
The 21-year-old isn't a fully fledged member of the Australian set up, but hopes he's done enough to keep up place in the squad for the next two legs at Malaga next month.
"I'm training with them in early January and hope to make that trip to Spain," Toole said.
"The first tournament is January 20 so hopefully I get selected for that.
"I'm with the Brumbies on a development contract until November so they are kind of loaning me out to the sevens.
"They're working together and I'm not sure what I'll choose in the long term but for now the sevens is pretty good. It's pretty fun going around the world to play footy."
Australia have been drawn to face New Zealand, Japan and Ireland in their pool for Malaga's tournament.
