Nieces And Nephews ($3.40) wore down brave Wagga frontrunner Zakeriz ($4.00) in the shadows of the post to claim the $34,000 Adams Kenneally White Ted Ryder Cup (1600m).
It was all honours to the winner as Nieces And Nephews did all of the chasing and got his head down at the right time to score by a short head, with a neck to Just Business ($18) in third.
Quayde Krogh rode the winner, getting everything out of the six-year-old as he registered the sixth win of his 31-start career.
It was Nieces And Nephews first win in just over 12 months.
"It was a good win. He had been a little while out of the winner's circle but racing very consistently and more than paying his way," Paul Jones said.
"Quayde's ride followed the instructions to a T. We thought today was the day for him, we wanted Zakeriz to carry his weight and the plan came off perfectly."
Nieces And Nephews ran second to Zakeriz in the Ted Ryder Cup Prelude on December 6 but met him two and a half kilos better at the weights in the main event.
Jones hoped the win gives Krogh plenty of confidence, as he is riding She's All In and One Aye for the stable at Randwick on Boxing Day.
