Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of man in the southern Riverina this week.

Emergency services were called to Savernake Road at Savernake, about 100km northwest of Albury, just after 9.30am on Wednesday.
The male driver of the Holden Colorado utility was assisted from the vehicle by NSW Fire and Rescue officers and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
However, he died at the scene a short time later.
While he is yet to be formally identified, the driver - and sole occupant - is believed to be aged in his 30s.
Officers from the Murray River Police District attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue, police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
The NSW Police Force will on Thursday launch its Christmas/New Year road safety-enforcement operation to prevent road trauma during to holiday period.
Operation Christmas/New Year 2021 will begin at 12.01am on Friday and conclude at 11.59pm on January 3.
Double demerit points will apply for the duration of the operation for speeding, mobile phone, seatbelt, and motorcycle helmet offences.
