A $3300 donation by Wagga RSL Men's Bowling Club will provide education for nurses working in the children's ward at Wagga Base Hospital.
The donation was handed to Kelly Murray and Danielle Edwards from the children's ward on Wednesday by the clubs social bowlers Jack Whyte and Wayne Valorgie.

Ms Murray said while the men's club make a donation to the children's ward every year, this year it comes after a particularly hard time given COVID-19.
"Especially in times like this with COVID, where people struggle to donate, we appreciate the effort they go to," she said.
"We're really grateful and it's not just this year, the men's bowls club put up a good effort every year."
Ms Murray said the children's ward at Wagga Base Hospital relies heavily on community support when it comes to things like attaining new equipment and providing education for staff.
Mr Whyte, who is the brains behind the initiative, said the funds are accumulated by club members through the purchase of pies, among other foods, donated by local businesses.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Hot Bake donates us the pies every Tuesday morning and we sell them to club members on Wednesday mornings," Mr Whyte said.
The pies in specific are donated by Wagga Hot Bake owner Peter O'Brian, with other donations made by other businesses including Bunnings.
Mr Whyte said they are also thankful to their members and to the Wagga RSL Club for the support offered which will go towards helping children in need.
"That's our aim, to help the kids," Mr Whyte said.
"And usually when people know the money is going towards helping children they're happy to help."
Mr Valorgie said he is particularly happy with the clubs effort considering they only operated for six of a normal 12 months this year due to COVID-19.
"This year was a bit quiet but we will get back out there again next year," he said.
