Harness Racing NSW chief executive John Dumensy confirmed the Riverina Championships for four and five-year-olds will retain its group one status.
However the Regional Championships will lose its status due to the restricted conditions.
"The four and five year old championships will be alright but the Regional Championships won't as they are restricted to up to 70s," Dumesny said.
"The four and five year olds are open so that's fine."
A prizemoney lift to $150,000 is also required to maintain group one status
The MIA Breeders Plate and Wagga and Young Pacers Cups are also set to lose group three status, with the prizemoney threshold lifting from $30,000 to $50,000.
However Dumesny is confident they will be granted Listed status.
"They can be Listed races rather easily because of their historical significance," he said.

FLANEUR has held on to take out Wagga Horse of the Year honours.
It came down to the last meeting of the year on Tuesday, but Gary Lang's veteran pacer was able to hold on.
Ideal Escape could have taken the honour with a win but could only manage a third.
It wasn't enough to catch Flaneur, who had four wins and eight placings from 30 starts at the track this year.

FAIRY Tinkabell made it two wins on the trot at Menangle for Riverina syndicate Johnny Star Racing.
The five-year-old has won the last two open mares features after winning in a mile rate of 1:51.4 on Saturday.
The syndicate also tasted success with Mighty Atom at Bathurst on Wednesday.

JAFFA returned to winning ways for the first time in almost a year for Leeton owner Jodie Ward.
After last winning on New Year's Day, the six-year-old tasted success at Dubbo on Friday.
And in a big way too - winning by 16 metres.
However Todd Prest had to settle for fourth with Sporty Dancer in the group three Red Ochre Mares Classic.

RUBIES For Tash will make her racetrack return in the group two Shirley Turnbull Memorial at Bathurst on Sunday.
The mare, owned by Bruce and Tash Harpley, hasn't raced since finishing last in a four-horse field at Menangle in June.
She has drawn barrier 11 while Inter Dominion heat winner Bundoran, who is part owned by Michael Boots, has drawn the inside of the second row.

Both finals will be run as part of their Carnival of Cups meeting on January 1.
The first is at 7.02pm.
