The owner of the Wagga Seafood Market, Roji Cherian, has been running the business alongside his Asian supermarket for five years.
But he said the orders coming in for the festive season of 2021 have been like no other.
"I think people have had a tough year, and they are really excited to be finally able to celebrate," Mr Cherian said.
"We have been so busy and we have had so many orders for Christmas, but also just even for Christmas parties. This has been the busiest year we have had in five years. We are really flat-out."
Mr Cherian said the favourite items include oysters, lobsters and of course prawns, adding there is a focus on people wanting Australian produce.
He said a benefit to being based in Wagga is having access to the markets in both Sydney and Melbourne.
"We are also seeing people ordering wild cod and different varieties of crabs, like sand crabs," Mr Cherian said.
Mr Cherian said he is proud of his son, Harry, who, while on school holidays, has taken to being the customer liaison.
"He is even going along to the Sydney Markets to make sure we get everything," he said.
Mr Cherian currently uses his shopfront on Forsyth Street for both his seafood and food market business, but from next year he plans to make it a dedicated fresh fish shop.
"We wish everyone a Happy New Year and a safe Christmas," he said.
