The final results of Wagga's local government election have been confirmed following the distribution of preferences on Tuesday morning.
The nine councillors elected to represent the community for the next three years are made up of just four returning councillors including Dan Hayes, Rod Kendall, Dallas Tout and Tim Koschel.
IN OTHER NEWS:
There will be five first-time councillors joining the team with Mick Henderson, Richard Foley, Amelia Parkins, Jenny McKinnon and Georgie Davies each securing their spot.
The final shake up of the election results means former councillors Paul Funnell and Vanessa Keenan will not be re-elected.
The order of election was Dan Hayes, Rod Kendall, Mick Henderson, Richard Foley, Amelia Parkins, Dallas Tout, Jenny McKinnon, Georgie Davies and Tim Koschel.
There's now a 24-hour wait to see if there are any requests for a recount. If no requests are received the results will be made official.
The new councillors will be sworn in at the opening council meeting of their term on January 10. The mayor and deputy mayor will also be elected at that meeting.
