The health district published its weekly report on Monday, stating that 67 new cases of COVID have been recorded across the region in the past seven days.
In the previous seven-day period, 45 new cases of the virus were reported, and one death.
There are currently 103 active cases of the virus in the MLHD across 12 local government areas (LGAs): Wagga, Albury, Cootamundra-Gundagai, Federation, Greater Hume Shire, Griffith, Hilltops, Lockhart, Murray River, Narrandera, Snowy Valleys and Temora.
A breakdown of which cases are assigned to each specific LGA has not been provided by the health district.
The MLHD said in a statement that the majority of the local cases are "linked to a known cluster or household contact".
The health district said there are no patients in hospital with COVID across the region, with the "vast majority" of people receiving at-home care.
Currently 96.7 per cent of people aged 16 and over in the MLHD are fully vaccinated against the virus, and 80.4 per cent of those aged 12 to 15.
Since July 1 this year there has been 1158 cases of COVID-19 in the MLHD, and 16 deaths associated with the virus.
Across the state on Monday 2501 new cases of the virus have been recorded from 144,368 tests, down slightly from yesterday's record-breaking tally of 2566.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases in NSW is 16,225, with 261 people currently in hospital with the virus.
There are 33 patients in intensive care, and 11 requiring ventilation.

According to the latest figures 93.4 per cent of NSW residents aged 16 and over are fully vaccinated, and 78.1 per cent of those aged 12 to 15.
NSW Health is continuing to encourage people to practice COVIDSafe behaviours, particularly wearing a mask in situations where social distancing is not possible.
"Get tested and stay home if you have the mildest of symptoms," NSW Health said in a statement.
"Do not go out and visit family, friends or go to social events if you are unwell. Practice good hand hygiene by washing and sanitising your hands regularly."
