Emergency services were called to Gregadoo East Road at Gregadoo about 4.20pm following reports a vehicle had left the road and hit a tree.
A NSW Police spokesperson said the male occupant had to be freed after being trapped in his vehicle.
It is understood he was taken by road ambulance to Wagga Base Hospital and a rescue helicopter has been called in to fly him to another hospital.
However, no details about his age or his condition were available late on Sunday afternoon.
The road was closed while emergency personnel worked at the scene, with a police vehicle blocking the thoroughfare.
