Coleambally continued a strong off-season recruitment drive with the signing of Griffith teenager Blake Argus this week.
Argus was a highly-regarded junior who played a lot of representative football and has been a regular member of the Swans' senior team over the past couple of seasons.
He made his senior debut in 2019 and went on to play in Griffith's grand final loss later that year.
Steele believes Argus is capable of playing a number of roles for Coleambally.
"There's pretty good raps on him," Steele said.
"He was pretty good when he was a younger fella. He was going to go and play up in Darwin but got injured and never got to go. We think he should be handy enough.
"Centre-half-forward is open for us still so we're talking about playing him there. If he can handle himself in the midfield we might be able to rotate him between there and up forward."
Coleambally have now added Max Hillier and Kyle Woods from Coolamon, Kyle Pete from Leeton-Whitton and Argus from Griffith.

They have lost experienced pair Guy Orton and Tom Groves.
Coleambally ended up with the wooden spoon this year, winning just two games, after entering the season with high expectations.
Steele is confident they are better-placed to be major players next year.
"We should be alright. We've got a lot more depth and hopefully we have less injuries," he said.
"Everyone was pretty disappointed with how we went last year after who we recruited and the team we had on paper but you can't play good footy if you don't have the players out there on the field. We never got our best team out there once last year.
"We recruited a few older guys to bring in some guidance and bigger bodies, thinking that's what we needed and then injuries hit. But that's footy and we'll see how we go next year."
Coleambally held two training sessions pre Christmas and will resume mid-January.
