A breakdown of the case numbers by local government area is not available, as the health district recently switched from daily to weekly updates with a focus on vaccination and testing numbers.
Everyone aged 18 years and older may now receive a booster five months after receiving their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The rising transmission rates prompted NSW Health to announce that visitors to all hospitals and aged care services are now limited to one person at a time.

"With increasing transmission rates across the state and the impact of the Omicron variant of concern, NSW Health has determined that visits to healthcare facilities should be restricted," a statement from MLHD said.
"Visits will be considered based on a risk assessment and in response to individual patient needs and circumstances.
"Local exemption may be granted on compassionate grounds and on a case-by-case basis."
Meanwhile, the state reported a record number of new infections for the second day in a row on Friday, with 2213 people diagnosed with the virus from more than 127,000 tests in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday.
The escalating case numbers are being driven by super-spreading events at large venues like pubs and nightclubs, exacerbated by the highly-transmissible Omicron variant.
One new death was also announced on Friday, with 215 people in hospital - up from 23 on the day before - with 24 of them in ICU.
In NSW, 94.8 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 93.3 per cent are fully vaccinated.
While, 81.4 per cent of people aged 12 to 15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 77.9 per cent have had two doses.
