Four projects totalling more than $1.1 million make up Wagga's round four of the Stronger Country Community Fund, which was announced by the state government on Tuesday.

McPherson Oval in North Wagga will receive $365,000 to install six new LED floodlights and Estella Public School will get $250,000 to install play equipment.

Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes Football Netball Club and the Tolland Wolves Football Club will receive $189,000 and $336,000 respectively for major changeroom upgrades - including constructing facilities for female players.

The Tolland grant will help the club fund their $700,000 construction of a new amenities building at Kessler Park, a project club president Josh Lang said was much-needed.

"The existing amenities building at Kessler Park is quite old, too small and doesn't meet the needs of our growing player numbers - especially for female players," Mr Lang said.

"The new amenities block is to have more space so players can change in privacy and prepare for their games.

"Gone will be the days of holding towels up for each other or getting changed in cars."

Bernadette Blake has played for the club since 2010 and has had to drive to each Kessler Park game in full kit due to the changing room set up.

She said having a female changeroom will help make the overall experience more comfortable and is a big win for the club's female players.

"It's really good and something people have been talking about for a really long time," Mrs Blake said.

"We've always had really strong women's teams but we haven't been able to get changed before or after games or anything."

Mrs Blake believed having more female-friendly facilities would help drive the growth of the sport.

"It will definitely help grow the sport for women and especially young girls because when you see that improvements are being made by governemnts and councils it makes you realise people care," she said.

The successful applicants were announced by Nationals MLC Wes Fang and Wagga MP Joe McGirr at McPherson Oval on Tuesday.

"There has been a big focus this round in supporting female facilities," Mr Fang said.

"We've seen ... issues of where women can play and where they can't because they haven't got facilities. Across the state we're making sure we have facilities for both males and females."
