
A man and a woman have been charged following a road rage incident involving pepper spray.
Officers attached to the Riverina Police District attended Capper Street, Tumut about 1.15 pm on Friday following reports of a road rage incident.

On arrival, police were told that a 25-year-old man was driving a Mitsubishi Triton with a 27-year-old woman and a 6-week-old baby also in the vehicle.
Police said they had allegedly become involved in an altercation with the occupants of a Mitsubishi Mazda 6 along the Snowy Mountains Highway outside Tumut a short time earlier
While both vehicles were stopped, the female driver and male passenger of the Mazda 6 approached the other driver and passenger where police said the male sprayed them with pepper spray.
Both vehicles then drove away from the scene.
The Mazda 6 occupants, a 20-year-old woman and 27-year-old man, were located by police on Fitzroy Street, Tumut, shortly before 3pm.
Officers searched the Mazda 6 where two cannisters of pepper spray were allegedly located.

The 27-year-old male passenger of the Mazda 6 was arrested and taken to Tumut Police Station.
He was charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Tumut Local Court on January 13.
The 20-year-old female driver of the Mazda 6 was charged with one count of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and one count of stalk/intimidate intend fear of physical/mental harm.
The woman was granted unconditional bail to appear at the same court on the same day as the man.
There were no reports of serious injuries.
