The outcome of the voting will determine which nine candidates will go on to represent the community on Wagga City Council for the next three years.
Over the past month, The Daily Advertiser reached out to each of the candidates who put their names in the running to discuss their plans should they be elected.
More than 40 local residents are gunning for a spot at the table and potentially the top job, as mayor Greg Conkey announced he will retire from local government this year.
Thousands of Wagga residents took advantage of pre-polling to get their votes in early and ahead of the election day rush, while the rest of the region will be heading out to one of the city's 21 polling centres today.
