A man has been charged after prohibited drugs and cash were allegedly found during a traffic stop on the Snowy Mountains Highway.

About 10am on Thursday, officers attached to Cootamundra Target Action Group were carry out proactive patrols along the Snowy Mountain Highway, at Tumut when they stopped a Toyota Corolla for random roadside testing.
Officers spoke to the driver, a 26-year-old man, before he returned a positive result to a random drug test.
Officers subsequently searched of the vehicle, the driver and the a man and woman who were passengers in the car.
"During a search of the 41-year-old male passenger, police seized almost $2000 cash inside a bag, 25.5 grams of methylamphetamine and 12.7 grams of cannabis," a NSW Police statement said.
"The estimated potential street value of the prohibited drugs is more than $8000."
Driver's drug test results will undergo further analysis.
The older man was arrested and taken to Tumut Police Station where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug - indictable quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, possess prohibited drug, and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime - serious indictable offence.
The Tumut man was refused bail to appear in Wagga Local Court on Friday.
A NSW Police statement said inquiries would continue.
