NSW Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall on Thursday presented the books to representatives from Batlow Technology High School, Adelong Public School, Rosewood Public School, Talbingo Public School and Tumbarumba Public School during a ceremony in Wagga.

"The youngsters that attend these schools, their families were the most heavily impacted by the fires and are still dealing with some of the impacts," Mr Marshall said.

"Not only is LLS been on the ground assisting primary producers directly both during the fires and during the rebuild, but are now supporting some of the youngsters ... the books directly relate to agriculture, the environment, to climate: things that are going to educate those youngsters about life on the land."

Riverina LLS general manager Ray Willis said the students were "really excited and looking forward to the books arriving".

Collins Booksellers in Wagga also supported the donation with a a 25 per cent discount on the purchase.

Rosewood principal Cameron Bremner said the books would help students to process what they had been through during he fires.
