The demonstration was one of about 30 that took place across the country, with people expressing their concerns about vaccine mandates.
Riverina Police District Commander Andrew Spliet said the organisers of the protest made contact with officers ahead of time to signal their intention to march.

"We were aware of this incident on the weekend, this protest that was taking place," he said.
"We worked with organisers to ensure a peaceful protest was undertaken.
"They marched along Baylis Street to the park with no incident. People are allowed to protest, we live in a democracy."
Superintendent Spliet said officers were pleased with the behaviour of attendees.
"Police were rostered on for that protest but as I have said there were no issues," he said. "Everybody there was compliant which is all that we are after."
