A man has been charged over the alleged supply of e-cigarettes in the Riverina, after a raid at a service station uncovered $55,000 worth of vapes.

In October this year, officers from Murrumbidgee Police District commenced an investigation into the supply of e-cigarettes or "vapes", containing nicotine, within the Griffith area.
Following inquiries, investigators - with assistance from NSW Health compliance officers - executed a search warrant at a service station in Griffith, just after 9.30am on Thursday.
During a search of the location, police seized more than 1230 e-cigarettes containing nicotine, with an estimated potential street value of $55,000.

Subsequently, a 28-year-old man was issued a court attendance notice for two counts of restricted substance sold by a non-wholesaler.
He is due to appear before Griffith Local Court on January 19.
