The all-rounder's skills also translate to groundsman duties at the Bulls' Rawlings Park base, which has been a busy gig after the last two rounds were washed out.
This week's fourth round is in similar jeopardy after more heavy rain during the week. But Cooper said he and head curator Steve Stapleton, and curators of their rivals' grounds for that matter, will do everything possible to give frustrated players every chance to get a game.
Cooper, who is unavailable for Saturday's home clash with South Wagga, was the head curator at Rawlings Park for two years before taking up the captaincy.
Stapleton was lured over to Lake Albert after giving up his duties at Robertson Oval at the end of last season.
"He does the majority and I just help out. But I can guarantee there hasn't been too many quiet days the last few weeks," Cooper said.

"I've been helping Steve for five or six years. When Steve gave up Robertson Oval it was a chance for the club to get him involved at Lake Albert.
"This week for example, knowing the rain is coming later in the week, you have to do all your work early in the week. It's just a constant cycle."
Lake Albert began their campaign with a strong win over St Michaels, and Sam Smith will take over captaincy duties against the Blues.
South Wagga's team will be unchanged from the squad which cruised to 1-149 off 23 overs against Wagga RSL last week before play was abandoned.
