Testing across the region has resulted in 13 new confirmed cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.

The cases are spread across the region, with residents of the Albury local government area (LGA) making up six of the new cases.

The Wagga, Federation and Lachlan Shire LGAs are each home to two of the new cases and the Snowy Valleys LGA has recorded one new case.

The jump back up to double-digits comes following a slight decrease in case numbers over the weekend, when only eight cases were reported across the MLHD on Saturday and Sunday combined.

The one resident who was previously in the intensive care unit is no longer in the unit and according to the MLHD the "vast majority" of the region's current COVID patients are being treated through the hospital in the home program.

The MLHD is continuing to urge unvaccinated residents to book in for their jab and reminding those who received their second dose six months or more ago are they are now able to get their booster shot.

NSW has recorded one new coronavirus death and 180 new cases, as vaccination rates continue to climb.

The state is inching closer to the 95 per cent mark for first dose vaccinations, with 94.4 per cent of residents over 16 having stepped forward for at least one jab and 91.8 per cent sitting at two doses.

Of the 12 to 15-year-old age group, 75.4 per cent are fully vaccinated and 81 per cent have received at least one vaccine.

Anyone who experiences even the mildest symptoms is being urged to come forward for a COVID test by the MLHD.

People in Leeton can be tested at the hospital in Myall Street between 9am and 11am on weekdays, by dropping in or calling the MLHD hotline on 1800 831 099.

The MLHD's testing clinic in Griffith is open at 50-52 Yambil Street, next to Axi Kem, between 9.30am and 1.30pm daily.

Tests can be carried out at West Wyalong's hospital between 8am and 10am on weekdays.

Those seeking a test in Albury can head to Westside Community Centre until 2pm on Thursday, or the Albury Entertainment Centre in Swift Street between 10am and 4pm from Friday through Monday.

Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss of taste or smell.

Other symptoms include fatigue, acute blocked nose (congestion), muscle pain, joint pain, headache, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, unexplained chest pain and conjunctivitis.
