Police stopped a car on Russell Street, Deniliquin, on Thursday at about 12.40am, and checks revealed the driver was unlicensed.
Officers attempted the speak with the female driver, 40, who allegedly became physically aggressive.
The woman allegedly assaulted a male constable before spitting in the face of a female constable.

She was charged and remains before the courts.
During the arrest, a 16-year-old boy, known to the woman, allegedly spat on a male senior constable before fleeing the scene.
The boy was arrested later that day at a Russell Street, Deniliquin, home at about 1.15pm.
He was taken to Deniliquin Police Station and charged with assault police and intimidate police.
He was granted bail to appear before Deniliquin Children's Court on Tuesday 22 February 2022.
