Coles relaunched the store with its new offerings on Wednesday after six weeks of renovation work.
Store manager Karen Baxter said the supermarket had a "fresh look" with a greater variety of product lines.
"We have got a big scoop-and-weigh section at the store now, which basically has nuts and confectionary and there is also a pet scoop-and-weigh section where people can select which product they want."
The store also now offers more ready-made meals, a brand new deli section with hot snacks as well as a frozen dessert bar.
The changes have also resulting in more staff working at the store.
"We have just employed an extra 15 team members and some of them have already started and some are staring this week, so we have definitely created more jobs for the Wagga community," Ms Baxter said.
"We had customer feedback saying that the store looked a bit old and drab, so from that feedback the guys took on board what we needed to do and we refreshed the store completely.
"We're trying to give them a superior shopping experience, something modern and it was one of the older stores in NSW, and now its has a fresh and modern look with new features."
