Wagga has recorded double the average expected rainfall for this month in a matter of two weeks, drawing in 'winter-like' conditions experts say are reminiscent of August.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting that more rain will begin to roll in over the coming week, adding to the 74 mils the district has already recorded this month.
Wagga recorded a high of only 15 degrees yesterday with recent heavy rain encouraging a "significant cold front" to pass through the region, comparable to August's conditions, averaging 14.6 degrees.
Carabost has seen the most amount of rainfall in the past three days throughout the local district, recording 42 mils in comparison to Wagga who has recorded 32 mils throughout the same duration.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Areas closer to the NSW Victoria border have recorded the highest within the Riverina, with the Hume reservoir recording 54.4 mils in the past 72 hours.
Locally, there are no areas of concern in regards to rising river levels. Parts of the Murray River across the border continue to remain on flood watch, but recent rainfall has not effected the on-going situation.
