After constant rain forced junior cricket to be canned on Friday all senior cricket was called off on Saturday, including the match of the round between defending premiers South Wagga and Wagga City at Robertson Oval.
The two sides were set to play for the Max Knight Challenge Cup, renamed from the Settlers Village Challenge Cup, in honour of the Blues legend who passed away in the hours after South Wagga's grand final win last season.
The rain stayed away long enough for Canberra trainer Nick Olive to claim his first Snake Gully Cup with Ready To Humble at Gundagai on Friday, but 'Hair of the Dog' day on Saturday wasn't as lucky.
After racing on a heavy track on Friday, overnight rain put paid to the second day of the town's biggest race weekend.
It followed the postponement of Tumut racing due to the state of the track last Sunday.
Wagga Softball Association was also forced to cancel all junior and senior softball matches due to be played on Friday and Saturday, for the second straight week to begin their season.
A decision on Monday's men's fixtures was yet to be made as of Sunday afternoon, but a wild storm which swept through the city on Sunday certainly won't help the cause.
