Two more primary schools in Wagga have had to temporarily close their doors for cleaning and contact tracing after members of the school communities tested positive for COVID-19.

On Thursday morning a spokesperson for the Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga [CEDWW] confirmed that members of the school communities at Holy Trinity Primary School and Henschke Primary School have tested positive for COVID-19.
"The schools will be non-operational on November 11, 2021, for the on-site attendance of students, staff and visitors to allow time for contact tracing and deep cleaning," the spokesperson said.
"All staff and students are asked to self-isolate until they receive further advice."

The spokesperson said that the CEDWW and both primary schools will continue to work closely with NSW Health to "ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained".
On November 9 Kooringal's Sacred Heart Primary School was also directed to close for cleaning and contact tracing by NSW Health after a member of the school community tested positive to COVID-19.
It comes as an array of exposure sites pop-up around Wagga, including a Tolland funeral and medical centre.
On Thursday New South Wales recorded 261 new cases of COVID-19 and one death, with 90.4 per cent of the population over 16 now fully vaccinated.
