Druitt enjoyed one of his biggest nights on the tracks when he steered Ideal In Dreams to victory in the $50,000 group two NSW Breeders Challenge True Blue Series 2YO Fillies (1609m).
In typical Druitt fashion, Ideal In Dreams worked up outside the leader and proved too tough, edging out fellow Riverina pacer Shes A Caribbean ($3.10) by a half neck.
It was Druitt's second group win of his career and moments later, the filly was sold.
"It was one of my better (wins). I wouldn't say it was my biggest win but it was one of the best days I've had at the office," Druitt said.
"Shortly after the race I sold the filly. She was syndicated and will be raced by leading trainer Jack Trainor."
Ideal In Dreams, bred by Yirribee Stud, had the one win and two placings from seven starts heading into Saturday night's feature.
Druitt had already held negotiations for her sale and was happy to move her on after the race.
"We'd agreed that if she went good, they were going to take her," he said.
"It was one of those things. She's destined to do most of her racing in the city and I'm in my 60s and travelling isn't really my thing.
"I was able to move her on knowing that I had her absolutely spot on. Now someone else can have some fun with her."
Ideal In Dreams stopped the clock in 1:55.5 when winning. Druitt explained the race worked out perfectly for him.
"I thought I had done my job. I had her spot on and I was really happy with the run she got," he said.
"We got up outside the leader and I was happy with the race was run. We had to go up and put a bit of pressure on Shes A Caribbean a bit earlier than he would have liked and we got there in the end."

"She had the best attitude and her conformation was excellent.
"She's taken the work I've given her because she's got the attitude."
Druitt now looks forward to seeing Ideal In Dreams progress for Trainor and the new connections.
