The park recently adopted five of Australia's biggest carnivores, lending a hand to the Sydney Dingo Rescue which has more than 80 dingoes in its care.

Three different kinds of dingo have made the journey from the city to Darlington Point, including three alpine dingoes, one desert dingo and one tropical dingo, who are all living in a tailored enclosure together.

Animal and operations manager Rebecca Surian said the animals will not be bred at Altina, but provided a permanent home following their refugee at the rescue facility.

"To be able to help these animals is very exciting for us," she said.

"These boys are very spoilt and very happy here at Altina."

The dingoes join other native species at the park, including the common wombat, Tasmanian devil, yellow-footed rock-wallaby, and both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles.
