At 2.30am firefighters, police officers and Essential Energy workers were called to a power pole and car fire in a laneway off Third Avenue in Henty.
The fire was extinguished quickly but firefighters remained on scene until 5pm, to ensure the power pole was safe.
Fire and Rescue NSW were earlier called to reports of a car alight on Jacaranda Street near Haydon Park in West Albury at about 12.50am.
Fire and Rescue zone commander Stewart Alexander said the Toyota Yaris was fully ablaze when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in about an hour but the car was fully destroyed.
The cause of both fires is still under investigation.
Mr Alexander urged residents to call 000 if they spot a fire.
