Facilitated by the Red Cross and the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, with help from RIVMED, the pop-up offered a community-based environment for people to have their second COVID jab.
Regional manager for Red Cross in south-west NSW, Neil Barber, said the pop-up was established at the Ngurra Community Centre to address a real need in the community.
"The community have been asking for some time to have a pop-up vaccination clinic here in the community for them to access more easily," he said.
"The uptake has been fantastic."
The first pop-up was held around three weeks ago where 70 people had their first dose, and nearly all of them were expected to come back for their second on Friday.
One such person was Rick Fitzsimmons, who said he felt very comfortable at the "terrific" community centre.
"The people here are really reassuring, so it makes you feel really comfortable," he said, saying that the process was very straightforward.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Barber said it was "really important" for people to have access to vaccination in a comfortable, culturally-safe environment within their own community.
He said that accessing the vaccine in your own community among familiar faces can also assist those who are vaccine hesitant in feeling comfortable enough to come forward and get their jab.
"It's that sense of being around people, talking about that experience, just really helps make it a bit safer to be there," he added.
As well as administering COVID vaccines, food bank items were also available to take home, and an Anglicare mobile van was on-site providing brand new clothes and shoes.
