And the two AFL players will be encouraging hopeful young stars to follow in their footsteps.
Perryman and Kennedy are giving their support to the Demons junior football and netball club next Sunday, November 14, with a meet-and-greet event at South City shopping centre.
Registrations for next year are being accepted on the day as Collingullie-Glenfield Park seek to encourage more juniors to the club.
Kennedy was drafted by Greater Western Sydney Giants in 2015 before moving to Carlton two years later.
Now 24, he has played 60 AFL games and is entering his fifth season with the Blues who recently extended his contract through to the end of next year.
Perryman, 22, was drafted a year later by GWS and has played 70 games for the Giants in his five seasons, including an AFL grand final.
The pair played most of their junior football together with the Demons before graduating to schoolboy stars at senior level.
They were part of Collingullie's back-to-back Riverina League premierships of 2014 and 2015 (both sharing the occasions with their brothers) as the Demons created history with their breakthrough successes after moving from the Farrer League.
The Demons junior club event at South City next Sunday kicks off at 10am.
