Two men have been killed in a horror day on the Riverina's roads, despite the efforts of passers-by.

Emergency services were called to Holbrook Road at Mangoplah around 8.30pm on Thursday, responding to reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a truck.
Despite efforts by highway patrol officers, paramedics and passers-by, attempts to revive the driver were to no avail and he died at the scene.
The man has not been formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 40s.

Earlier in the day, a motorcyclist fatally collided with a railing on the side of the Snowy Mountains Highway.
Police and paramedics arrived at the crash site, around 20 kilometres north of Talbingo, after receiving calles around 1.50pm.
Passers-by and emergency services worked in vain to revive the rider, who is yet to be formally identified.
The road was completely closed for around 90 minutes before it became passable under stop-slow conditions.
Police have urged anyone who might have information about the crash, or dashcam footage, to make contact immediately.
Crime scenes were established at both crash sites and investigations into how the incidents came to happen have commenced.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
