Staff who deliver our Storytime and Language Café programs are looking forward to catering to even more members of the community, provided that all people aged over 16 are fully vaccinated.
Storytime is our selection of activities, picture books, and take-home craft, for 1-5 year-olds and their caregivers. There are two sessions each Wednesday and Friday, at 10am and 11am.
Storytime is free, but online bookings are essential, and available 24 hours before each session. Numbers will be strictly limited to 40 people in total, including all adults, children, and infants.
The library's award-winning Language Café has sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 11am. The Language Café helps locals who have English as their second or sometimes third language to practise and improve their conversational English. Classes are held in the library's Community Learning Space and are free to attend, but bookings are also essential.
The Friends of the Wagga Wagga City Library will hold their annual general meeting on Tuesday, November 9, in the library's Community Learning Space at 4:45pm.
FOTL is actively seeking younger adult members, parents of young children, people from culturally and linguistically diverse groups, and people from different accessibility backgrounds. FOTL projects include support for author talks, One Book One Wagga, Language Café, Technology classes, and Science Festivals.
Please be aware that masks and proof of vaccination are still required at the library's main entrance. Our Level 0 lagoon-side entrance remains closed while this restriction is in place.
