Another One will step out to 1800 metres for the first time when he contests the $130,000 Benchmark 78 Handicap at Rosehill.
Colvin's stable star is one of three runners he will have at the metropolitan meeting.
Another One again highlighted his ability with a midweek second placing over a mile at Randwick last start and Colvin is looking forward to stepping him up in trip again.
"I'm really keen to get him over 1800 and see what he can do. Especially after that mile race," Colvin said.
"We'll give him a run and see what he does. Everything indicates that he will get it. He seems to relax and that.
"We worked him this morning at Kembla and he felt really good so I'm looking forward to Saturday.
"He's a very versatile sort of horse. His last six starts he's come home and broke 34 (seconds) his last 600 so if he can do that again on Saturday, he'll be a real show."
Former leading Southern District apprentice jockey Tyler Schiller will ride Another One. His three kilogram claim means the four-year-old will carry just 53kg.
"I decided to take the claim. Tyler's come back and had a few rides now. He's a very good horseman so I'm pretty happy to have him on," Colvin said.
Another One won a Highway from in front. He has also shown the ability to settle back in the field and hit the line strongly.
Colvin expects Another One will settle back off the speed like his last couple of runs.
"I'd like to be midfield with cover," he said.
"He should get a nice run. Hold him up as much as he can and he should hit the line well. I think that's the way to ride him."
Sizzling Cat is another strong chance for Colvin in the $100,000 Highway Handicap (1500m).
Sizzling Cat ran fourth in a Highway to finish last preparation and then resumed this prep with an eye-catching second behind Oamanikka at Wagga last month.

He has since trialled, where he again flashed home late.
"He's done pretty well. I just gave him a nice trial there at Wagga, he trialed really well," Colvin said.
"He's travelled down well, he seems nice and bright so I'm looking forward to it. The good thing, after his spell, he's come back more mature. He was a bit immature, but he's matured up well now."
Sizzling Cat settled last first-up and boasts a strong finishing burst. Schiller will take the ride and Colvin hopes not to get as far back as last start.
"I don't want him to get too far back. I think we'll ride him a bit more positive," he said.
"He's got a sticky draw (barrier 11) but we want to get him nice and relaxed, get him in a rhythm where he's comfortable because there's always a bit of pace in those Highways.
"He ran fourth last time with a bad draw, he got back and was a mile off them and came home strong and ran fourth. He was getting to the end of his prep too, this time we've got him on the up."
Completing Colvin's big day will be Mahsinger in the $130,000 Country Classic (2000m), where she is one of three Wagga-trained last-start winners in the race.
Colvin expects she may find the company a little strong, particuarly after drawing barrier 17.
"She's an honest little mare. She's drawn wide so we'll go forward and see what happens," he said.
"She's never been up in this grade before but she's always been honest in her own grade so we'll see how she goes."
