Both inmates were received from Albury Local Courts last week, a spokesperson for The GEO Group Australia confirmed.
COVID-19 management protocols for NSW correction centres states that all new inmates entering the system must undertake a 14-day quarantine.
The two inmates at Junee were in quarantine when they tested positive for the virus.
"They have now been transferred to the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre in Silverwater," the GEO Group spokesperson said.
