A three-time premiership winner and best and fairest at the Tigers in 2016, Myers and his partner, gun Tigers netballer Rhiannon Podmore, plan to move to Wollongong.
Defender Podmore, who missed most of last year rupturing her ACL in the early rounds of the season, is preparing for university placement in Wollongong next year.
Although still just 22, Myers assumed a major leadership role at the young Tigers under first year coach Murray Stephenson, and the dangerous small forward-midfielder will be tough to replace.
Podmore helped guide the Tigers to the AFL Riverina Championships netball grand final last year, which they lost to Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
"We're heading to Wollongong and I'll play somewhere in Sydney," Myers said.
"That (Podmore's studies) is the main reason, but also a bit of a change I suppose.
"It will be sad to leave but it's also exciting times ahead. I'm sure I'll be back one day to play there, I'd like to think I will be anyway."
Myers feels the Tigers will only enjoy natural improvement from their host of youngsters next year, and also given Stephenson will know what he has to work with entering his second season.
"They'll be laughing with him for the next couple of years. He's a good coach and will lead them in the right direction or sure," Myers said.
"Now he's seen what the boys can do and what style of footy they can play together, I think they'll take plenty of confidence going into 2022 for sure.
"I just tried to help him out where I can and take the load off a bit. There's a fair bit of work involved so I just tried to guide the guys in the right direction I suppose."
Myers was named in their best players seven times in 15 matches this year.
The Tigers were considered a 'smoky' to challenge in finals after a strong finish to the year saw them finish in third spot.
