Coming off a third when resuming at Goulburn, the Wagga trainer believes the draw will suit the import's racing style.
"It looks a nice race for him," Donnelly said.
"He does race in the lead so a good barrier does help and it's a tricky start that 1800 metre start so it certainly helps.
"The distance is getting towards his peak distance as well."
Tim Clark takes the ride.
Donnelly is looking for another good performance as he eyes off another middle distance feature in the city - the Country Classic.
While Saturday's Highway is for class three horses, the $130,000 feature is a set weights affair.

Donnelly expects to get a great indication of where the five-year-old is at.
"We've had this in mind all along as it is a lead up to a race in two weeks time at Rosehill for Country trained horses," he said.
"It's over 2000 metres so it's a nice lead up to it and you'll find most of the horses who run well in this race will run in that race as well."
Kitzbuhel won in his second and third starts in Australia before disappointing over 2500 metres.
However Donnelly was pleased with his efforts resuming over the 1500 metres in provincial company.
"It was a Kembla meeting at Goulburn, so it was provincial grade, and 1500 is well short of his best," he said.
"The winner raced in Sydney on Wednesday and ran third, and was very unlucky not to win, so the form has held up well.
"I was happy with the run and 1500 up to 1800 is just perfect."
Albury also races on Saturday with their Cox Plate day meeting coinciding with a return of crowds on the border.
