Member for Albury Justin Clancy has warned COVID-19 cases will rise further before the outbreak, which has surged beyond 100, is brought under control.

But, another lockdown for Albury is not being contemplated "at this stage" even though 48 daily cases were reported on Thursday.
"The number of COVID cases in Albury-Wodonga is certainly a cause of concern and anxiousness for us all at the moment.
"We need to brace in the knowledge that there will be increasing numbers over the next several days, particularly as individuals transmit the virus to family members.
NSW Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant will ultimately make the call on whether a lockdown is needed.

"I'm not aware of a NSW lockdown for our community at this stage," he said.
"Given the number of lockdowns we've witnessed I know it's not without trepidation that we experience a breakout of COVID and we rely chiefly on vaccinations as a means of getting through this breakout.
"We're not the first community to experience this."
