In a statement to The Border Mail a TAFE NSW spokeswoman said the person who attended the Albury campus on Tuesday October 12 tested positive for COVID-19.

"TAFE NSW notified anyone who may have had potential exposure, advising that they should get tested, self-isolate and monitor for symptoms," the spokeswoman wrote.

"TAFE NSW can confirm it complied with the capacity requirement of four square metres per person, along with other COVID-19 safety measures, such as wearing masks, hand sanitising and cleaning of frequent touchpoints."

The spokeswoman said the campus was closed for deep-cleaning on Monday October 18 and Tuesday October 19.

"Classes have been run virtually during this time," she said.

"TAFE NSW is following NSW Public Health Orders and NSW Government requirements, including the Return to Vocational Education and Training Guidelines, to ensure the safety of students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic."

St Augustine's Primary School in Wodonga yesterday recorded five positive cases in its school community.

Murray High School said a student tested positive to the virus on Facebook.

Xavier High School had a member of the school community test positive to COVID-19.

Lavington East Public School had a student return a positive COVID test, but the school has reopened on October 18.

Indie School Albury Wodonga, Albury Campus, reported a positive case on its Facebook page.

St John's Lutheran School and Little Saints Preschool identified itself as an exposure site and Jindera Public School had a community member test positive for COVID-19.

Howlong Little One's Early Learning also had a community member test positive.
