My Ultimate Byron won his semi-final in a career best 1:50.9.

However Hart won't wait for the barrier draw for the final, and instead will drive the unbeaten My Ultimate Byron.

"I'll be sticking with Byron no matter the barrier," Hart said.

"I think he's a class above them really and just gives me a different feel.

"Ronnie is definitely a progressive type, and is getting better and better.

"He couldn't have been more impressive but when the final times come I can't see anything coming past Byron."

My Ultimate Byron has now won seven of his seven starts.

Madrid also qualified fastest for the two-year-old fillies final.

Zipping home in a last quarter of 26.4 seconds, Madrid clocked a mile rate of 1:52.3.

Hart was thrilled with her efforts.

"She was super and just did what she had to do," he said.

"She is really the ultimate professional and just has everything - speed, strength and probably her main attribute is her gate speed.

"I think she can cross any horse in the final."

Captains Queen, who qualified at Young, was over a second slower winning in her semi-final.

However other Riverina participants didn't have the same luck with the Young owned Not To Be Denied, who finished third behind Captains Queen, the only one to qualify.

The $150,000 finals are on October 30.
