Sixteen cases are residents of the Albury LGA, one case is a resident of the Greater Hume LGA, and one case is a resident of the Berrigan LGA.

In Albury, five cases are household contacts of previously confirmed cases. Eleven are linked to known cases. All cases are in isolation.

The Greater Hume case is linked to a known case and is in isolation, while the Berrigan case is in isolation but the source of infection remains under investigation.

There are no new cases confirmed in Wagga.

The new cases are among 319 new cases of the virus across the state, with two deaths also reported.

The MLHD also advised of 13 new venues of concern in Albury, Lavington and Barooga on Saturday morning.

The new cases bring the total cases recorded in the MLHD in the current outbreak to 76, with one death recorded.

These include 32 in Albury LGA, 25 in Hilltops LGA, nine in Edward River LGA and two in the Wagga Wagga LGA.

There have also been two cases in the Murray River LGA, two in the Greater Hume LGA, two in the Berrigan LGA, one in Griffith LGA, and one in Federation LGA.

In NSW, there have been 65,228 locally acquired cases reported since 16 June 2021, when the first case in this outbreak was reported.

There are currently 652 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 138 people in intensive care, 73 of whom require ventilation.

IN OTHER NEWS:

Across the state there were 66,311 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 85,000.

Meanwhile, vaccination rates continue to climb.

91.7 per cent of people aged 16 and over in NSW have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 78.8 per cent are fully vaccinated as of 11.59pm on Thursday 14 October.

In the 12-15 year old age group, 73.1 per cent have had their first dose, and 29.1 per cent are fully vaccinated.
