Police attached to the Riverina Highway Patrol were conducting patrols when they noticed two motorcycles with no registration plates enter the service station on the corner of the Newell Highway and Charles Street at about 10:20am on Thursday.
One of the motorcycles allegedly sped from the scene upon seeing police while the other rider, a 27-year-old man from Yanco, spoke to police before allegedly becoming aggressive and resisting as police arrested him.
Police discovered the man was unlicenced, the motorcycle he was on had been reported stolen and while searching him they located a small amount of methylamphetamine.
He was arrested and taken to Narrandera Police Station where he returned a positive drug test which has been sent for further testing.
